The LN Engineering / Bilt Racing Service Tandem Oil Scavenge Pump Kit protects Boxster, Cayman, and 911 Carrera M96 and M97 engines from oil starvation caused by centrifugal forces and lateral acceleration that causes engine oil to collect in the front area of ​​the cylinder head, away from the original oil return pump. The result is that oil becomes trapped in the cylinder head and cannot be returned to the sump fast enough to ensure adequate oil supply to the oil pickup. Our tandem oil scavenge pump ensures that oil is scavenged properly under all driving conditions and returned to the sump. We recommend pairing with our 106-00.1 2 quart deep sump which includes our X51-style oil baffle and an anti-slosh plate (or our Accusump kit) to improve oil control in your engine to help prevent oil starvation common to Porsche Boxster, Cayman, and 911 vehicles with the M96/M97 engine when tracked. As always, we highly recommend the use of Driven XP9 race oil when tracking your Boxster, Cayman, or 911 engine to provide superior proven protection for all oil lubricated internal engine components found in your M96 or M97 engine.

Price includes 106-26.3 custom braided flexible external oil line. Price per pump; pumps are bank specific – bank 1 (cylinders 1-3) is part number 106-26.1 and bank 2 (cylinders 4-6) is part number 106-26.2. Modification of your existing cam cover is required. Please note additional modifications may be required to fit this product to 996 and 997 engines; models with the factory tandem scavenge/vacuum pump will require an adequate vacuum source to feed the brake booster. It has also been reported that there may be clearance issues on 996 and 997 models with the tandem oil scavenge pump as the pump is taller than the original factory pump due to the added stage; our pump measures 1.625″ tall from the tallest surface to the sealing o-ring face.
