Rear shock absorber mounting kit for upper rear shock absorbers
These top mounts use high strength hardened steel spherical bearings and are direct replacements for the factory mounts. The Teflon coated spherical bearings used in our kit are maintenance free and require no additional lubrication. The included seals prevent contamination by water or dirt, extending the life of the bearings.
This kit is intended to work with coilover setups but can be modified to work with factory or lowering springs. Call us for more information. It is also suitable to work perfectly with Von Coilover systems or other similar solutions.
Fully weatherproof
We've designed weatherproof seals on the top and bottom to keep out dirt and extend product life. This is the only shock absorber suitable for street or track use. Dirt and water contaminate ordinary products and accelerate wear.
Improved shock absorber/coilover performance
The spherical bearing can rotate freely and eliminates deflection inherent in factory-style rubber shock absorbers.
This is important for the following reason:
A factory rubber mount acts as a spring in series with the shock absorber. The factory mount rubber spring action is completely undamped and reduces a shock's ability to control the tire's contact patch. Our shock absorbers with spherical bearings allow the shock absorber to do its job and effectively control the tire contact patch for predictable driving in all road and weather conditions.
