Description
A patented process in which a sleeve consisting of a special aluminum alloy with both high ductility and strength is applied to the M96-M97 block. This provides better performance while solving all cylinder problems associated with the M96-M97 engine.
Nickies uses a highly wear resistant cylinder bore (NSC – which stands for nickel, silicon and carbide) for long life, very similar to Nikasil™, as used on the Carrera GT, GT2, GT3 and 911 Turbo engines ! Nickies™ features our superior aluminum alloy that is up to 66% stronger than cast-in Lokasil™ bores or MMC sleeves, providing improved thermal conductivity, reduced wear and friction over original or cast iron sleeves, and allows for larger bores without any loss of strength or lifespan.
