Description

This 2 QT Deep oil pan kit incl. pick-up tube extension for MY97-08 M96/M97 engines in Boxster, Cayman and 911 models (not for GT2, GT3 or Turbo). Based on the factory Porsche The kit includes an oil suction tube extension and original Porsche 51 oil return tubes to ensure oil is returned from the heads as quickly as possible. Kit includes all necessary hardware and sealants.

The deep, nearly 2-liter sump helps reduce the chance of engine failure due to oil starvation under sustained high g-forces with its improved baffling and oil control, when used in conjunction with Driven XP9 racing oil to control oil foam problems. If your oil temperatures are higher than 240F or ambient air temperatures are higher than 80F, we recommend using DRIVEN XP6 oil instead. Street oils should never be used on the track. The deep 2 liter sump also reduces the high oil temperatures experienced on the track by adding two liters of oil capacity. The 2 liter deep sump can be combined with an Accusump or Tandem Scavenge Pumps for an extra margin of safety.

The deep 2-liter sump is recommended when upgrading factory N-Spec Porsche tires with more aggressive compounds, especially those with a wear rating of 200 or lower.

Please note: If you are using one of our spin-on oil filter adapters or an IMS solution, a high-flow racing oil filter such as our 106-24 high-flow oil filters is recommended. For additional protection in street use, the Bilt Racing stainless steel crankcase protector can be installed.
