A patented process in which a sleeve consisting of a special aluminum alloy with both high ductility and strength is applied to the m96 block. This provides better performance while solving all cylinder problems associated with the M96, M97 engines.

Nickies uses a highly wear resistant cylinder bore (NSC – which stands for nickel, silicon and carbide) for long life, very similar to Nikasil™, as used on the Carrera GT, GT2, GT3 and 911 Turbo engines ! Nickies™ features our superior aluminum alloy that is up to 66% stronger than cast-in Lokasil™ bores or MMC sleeves, providing improved thermal conductivity, reduced wear and friction over original or cast iron sleeves, and allows for larger bores without any loss of strength or lifespan.
